The executive director cleared a significant part of his schedule shifting a number of operational duties to other staff leaders to make room for donor visits. A new campaign support person was added to help with the many logistics associated with starting and running a campaign that involved many volunteers.
Coaching competent staff over two year period resulted in a successful campaign raising more than $6 million for their new facility. Compared with a hiring a full service consulting group to run their campaign, this group saved tens of thousands of dollars AND ended up with stronger, deeper relationships with a corps of key donors and community supporters.
