Ken Margolis started working for The Nature Conservancy in 1972. By 1974, he became the organization's Northwest Director responsible for activities and fundraising in six northwestern states. In 1979, Mr. Margolis advanced to The Nature Conservancy's International Program. Shortly thereafter he helped found Conservation International and also assisted with the founding of Ecotrust. He served for seven years as president of River Network, a national environmental organization. Mr. Margolis has developed special expertise working with indigenous governments and organizations in the U.S. and Canada. His clients have included River Network, University of California at Chico, The Indian Law Resource Center, The Yukon River Inter Tribal Watershed Council, and numerous others.
