Amy Brown, CFRE, has more than 20 years' experience in fund development, management, and marketing. As a nonprofit advisor with Brown/Armstrong, P.C., she specializes in development audits and action-oriented development plans. Prior to joining Brown/Armstrong, Ms. Brown served as development director with SMART (Start Making A Reader Today), where she led the organization to secure $33 million to operate and expand its early literacy program throughout Oregon. Earlier, she worked in corporate marketing and management in San Francisco. A native Oregonian and longtime community volunteer, Ms. Brown is currently active with Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Nonprofit Association of Oregon (NAO), Mazamas, Leadership Portland, and other organizations. She is a past president of the Willamette Valley Development Officers (WVDO), and a recipient of the WVDO Leadership Award. Ms. Brown earned her B.A. in Multidisciplinary Studies from Santa Clara University, and has completed graduate work in nonprofit management at Portland State University, Lewis & Clark College, and Concordia University.
